For this project, I struggled to settle on a cover design that strongly evokes the topic of the story while also feeling fresh and new. At first, my design focused heavily on the setting, as it plays a significant role in the story. However, that design felt like it lacked emotional depth. So, I chose to go a different direction with the imagery, landing on the photo of the rope. This decision helped strengthen the design overall, greater emphasizing the topic than my previous image choices.
